This is the Beaufront Woodhead page. The image below is an aerial view of the farm taken in 1984, before conversion. The Old Barn is the building on the far right where two arched openings are just visible and now form the windows to our front room.

The image below has been set up as a "client side image map". In plain English, this means that if you roll the mouse over various parts of the image and click a hotspot, a more recent ground level picture of the same building will load into a separate floating window. There are not many hotspots yet, but more will be added later.  Some of the hotspots just give an indication of what has disappeared and will not load alternative views. In particular, these are the large open barns to the rear of the school buildings on the left and, needless to say, the hayricks to the rear of the Old Barn. Both have been replaced by drives and parking areas.  Close the floating window by clicking anywhere within its frame.

Thanks to Barbara, there are now more photographs of the farm before conversion and a picture of 1 Beaufront Woodhead just after completion.  There is less than ten years between the aerial photo above and those taken below - the rate of dereliction is startling.  Click on any of the photos below for a slideshow.
